Privacy Policy

This is our plain-English privacy policy, written to meet the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). It explains what we do — and deliberately do not do — with your data. HolidAIFinder is the data controller for the processing described here.

We do not profile you

We do not build advertising profiles, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share your personal data with data brokers. You can run searches without creating an account or giving us any personal details.

Search queries and AI processing

When you search, the text you type (and any photo you upload) is sent to our AI providers — Perplexity for live web research and, via Vercel's AI Gateway, models that structure the results — purely to generate your recommendations. We treat search queries as transient: they are processed to answer that request and are not linked to your identity. Please don't include sensitive personal information in a search.

Cookies and affiliate tracking

• Essential storage:we use your browser's local storage to remember your currency choice, cookie preference and your daily search count. This stays on your device.
• Affiliate tracking:when you click a booking link we route you through partner affiliate networks (such as AWIN and Travelpayouts) which set cookies to credit us for a resulting booking. Choosing "Essential only" on the cookie banner declines this non-essential tracking.

Affiliate cookies never add anything to the price you pay, and we only ever receive a commission — never your payment details.

Price alerts (only if you opt in)

If you choose to set a price alert, we store the email address you enter and the trip criteria for that alert so a once-daily job can email you about meaningful price changes. Alert emails are sent via Resend and every one includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We never use your email for unrelated marketing.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we hold almost nothing unless you set an alert, most requests are simple to fulfil. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
